Improv Classes @ OBT

Interested in taking a short form improv class for the humor impaired? Learn to play basic collaborative improv games, developing your effectiveness to improvise in the moment, at work, school or play. You will develop willingness, workability and wit as a team player.

1st week we will work on Willingness; allowing people to come out of their shells and feel comfortable with other improv actors.

2nd week focuses on Workability; learning to cooperate with other actor in the class, learning how to lead and follow.

3rd week works on Wit; learn to sharpen your joke telling skills and focus on how to make scenes more comical.

4th & 5th weeks focus on Plot Intensive and Cue Intensive games.

6th week focuses on more specialized games and rehearsal for showcasing your talents.

Eric R. Jensen, a well versed actor-theatre owner with over 20 years of acting is offering his knowledge and talents as an instructor for Laughing Stock improv classes for six weeks at the OBT. Classes held on Saturdays from 4 PM – 6 PM.

Cost is $200 for six weeks of which $50 is a non-refundable deposit for a slot.
Send your name, phone number and address if you want to be put on a list.
Students will receive a six punch pass good for the duration of the improv class period.
Must have atleast 10 students for class to be held.

    I’m sorry, but I didn’t see anything about the dates of the improv classes.
    Is there a cut-off date for when you can sign up by?
    Please give me some more information (I don’t want to call before I get more info b/c depending on the reply I may not be able to sign up).

  • Classes are taught on a continuing basis. Call the box office, 801-355-4628, for the next start date.
